The brand developed for MICRO MUTEK.AE took inspiration from its international editions focused on three-dimensionality but realized contextually and based on the 3 elements constituting the Emirati landscape: sand (desert), water (sea) and metal (buildings). These abstracted elements intertwine in a play on form and movement, communicating the experimental quality of the festival.

 

MUTEK.AE is a multidisciplinary event concerned with elevating the art of live contemporary electronic music and cutting-edge visual works. The 2017 edition in Dubai brought together artists confronting established, status-quo disciplines to create a unique and compelling event.

The posters interact in seamless pattern-like structures: new visuals emerge.
The identity abstracts elements from the Dubai's landscape: sand, water and metallic architecture. The composition leaves room for imaginary encounters between the elements and a surreal aquatic vibe mirroring the creative opportunities made possible by the festival and the vibrant city.
A special edition of the festival in collaboration with Dubai Design District. The subverted direction acts as an independent extension of the MUTEK AE main visuals.
